FAQ What is GPSface? GPSface is a software and a website that allows you to find people using tags and to share your position using a GPS cell/mobile phone or the Internet. You can create your own profile and people can find you typing some tags from your profile or being added to your friends list. Is my GPSface profile public? You decide if you want your profile public or private. If you would not share updates and details about you, you can hide them from the public and limit their visibility to your contacts only. To chose your profile, check the "hide profile" from the public box when you join GPSface, or change your preferences at any time in the Profile section. How much does it cost? Everyone can use GPSface for free! We are planning to sell some tools attached to this service in the future, but you will be able to use this system for free. How can I use GPSface on my phone? If you have a compatible cell/mobile phone (Nokia N and E series and Blackberry that support Java), you can download GPSface to your phone and start using GPSface on it. It shows the friends icons and the profiles of the people around you or from your contacts right on the phone, and enables you to share your location and availability wherever you are. How can I delete my account? You can delete your account from GPSface at any time from Profile: Your Account How can I get more help? With GPSface you can start your own profile at GPSface.com. You can change your profile whenever you want using the Web or your cell/mobile phone. Invite your friends to GPSface so you find each others' position updates and trace routes to find them in the real world typing tags from their profile or just asking where a friend is in the system. You can also add comments to their positions*. How can I create a new GPSface profile? You can create a new GPSface profile by signing in on the Web. You can set your location and details about your account and start using it. If you are away from your computer, you can also create your GPSface profile and find GPSface users from your cell/mobile phone. How can I find other people? You can start finding another person by clicking "find people" and typing the profile that you want to find on a map or close to you. You can also check the "trace route" to go to this person. You can find people and know about their availability by adding them as your contact. To add a contact, use Find People to find your friend and click the "Add " link. If your friend is not visible to the public, you can send them an email or SMS invitation by clicking "Invite Friend".
